Job summary

Newhall Avenue in Santa Clarita, CA is seeking a Licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team. You will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide skilled OT services to residents and help improve daily living independence.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, addressing ADLs, mobility, cognition, and safety, and collaborating with nursing and rehabilitation staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program (OTA).
• Active California COTA license required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy treatment under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Carry out individualized treatment plans established by the Occupational Therapist.
• Address ADLs, strength, ROM, balance, coordination, mobility, cognition, and safety in therapy.
• Assist residents with independence in dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and daily activities.
• Monitor response to treatment and report changes to the supervising OT.
