Job summary

Tri-Rivers Career Center seeks a licensed Long-Term Substitute Cosmetology Instructor to provide classroom and clinic-floor instruction when the regular instructor is absent. The role requires a current cosmetology instructor license, an Advanced Practicing license, and the ability to follow established curricula while maintaining professional standards on the clinic floor.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Ohio education equivalent to 12th grade.
• Current Advanced Practicing license in cosmetology scope.
• BCI/FBI background check as required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction from established lesson plans in the absence of the lead instructor.
• Supervise and evaluate theory and clinic practice.
• Enforce state sanitation, safety, and infection-control standards.
• Monitor tool and chemical usage for safe practice.
• Maintain attendance and documentation where applicable.
• Communicate incidents or gaps to curriculum leadership.
• Follow Tri-Rivers Career Center policies during assignment.
