Job summary

CM-Connecticut is seeking a Licensed Commercial HVAC Refrigeration Technician to join our team for ice machines, walk-ins/reach-ins, rooftop units, and make-up/exhaust air systems on commercial and new construction projects. You will install, maintain, diagnose, and repair equipment while delivering high-quality service and customer satisfaction.

The role requires CT licensure, 2+ years of commercial HVAC experience, EPA 608 certification (Universal preferred), and the ability to lift up to 50

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on Commercial HVAC experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant systems.
• EPA Section 608 Certification (Universal preferred).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied environments (attics, rooftops, construction sites).

Responsibilities

• Install, service, maintain, and repair ice machines, walk-in and reach-in coolers, rooftop units, and air systems.
• Support commercial and light new construction HVAC projects, including startups and equipment changes.
• Diagnose mechanical/electrical issues, perform repairs, and recommend solutions.
• Safely recover, evacuate, and charge refrigerant per EPA regulations.
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure system efficiency and reliability.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
• Communicate with customers regarding issues and maintenance recommendations.
• Complete service documentation accurately and promptly.
• Follow safety, OSHA, and company procedures.
• Collaborate with dispatch, supervisors, and teammates.

Licensed Commercial HVAC Refrigeration Technician

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Commercial HVAC Refrigeration Technician to join our team, supporting commercial and new construction projects. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing ice machines, walk in and reach in coolers, rooftop units, make up and exhaust air systems while delivering high-quality service and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, service, maintain, and repair diagnosing, and repairing ice machines, walk in and reach in coolers, rooftop units, make up and exhaust air systems
  
• Support commercial and light new construction HVAC projects as needed, including system startups and equipment changeouts
  
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, perform repairs, and recommend solutions
  
• Safely recover, evacuate, and charge refrigerant in compliance with EPA regulations
  
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure system efficiency and reliability
  
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  
• Communicate clearly with customers regarding system issues, repairs, and maintenance recommendations
  
• Complete service documentation accurately and in a timely manner
  
• Follow all safety, OSHA, and company procedures
  
• Collaborate with dispatch, supervisors, and team members to ensure smooth job completion

Requirements

• Must be licensed in CT
• Lead journeyperson must be experienced with ice machines, walk in and reach in coolers, rooftop units, make up and exhaust air systems
• 2+ years of hands-on Commercial HVAC experience
• Commercial HVAC Refrigeration and Air Conditioning experience
• EPA Section 608 Certification (Universal preferred)
• Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant systems
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied environments (attics, rooftops, construction sites)

Preferred Experience

• Knowledge of ServiceTitan highly desired
• Startup and commissioning of HVAC equipment
• Controls or basic automation experience
• Customer-facing service experience
