Job summary

Turning Point Recovery Center in New Mexico seeks independently licensed clinicians and those working toward independent licensure to provide evidence-based care for adults and adolescents with substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions.

Opportunities may include individual and group therapy, diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Flexible full-time, part-time, or contract roles are available.

Qualifications

  • Independently licensed New Mexico behavioral health professionals, including LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, PhD, or PsyD.
  • Master’s-level or provisionally licensed clinicians working toward independent licensure, including LMSW, LMHC, and other eligible behavioral health professionals.
  • Experience in substance use treatment is valued.
  • Professional ethics, confidentiality, and behavioral health documentation standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduc t comprehensive intake, psychosocial, and diagnostic assessments.
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized, person-centered treatment plans.
  • Provide individual and group counseling or psychotherapy.
  • Utilize evidence-based approaches such as MI, CBT, the Matrix Model, and other modalities.
  • Provide integrated treatment for substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions.
  • Collaborate with physicians, psychiatric providers, nurses, therapists, case managers, and other team members.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust interventions based on clinical needs.
  • Maintain timely, accurate documentation in the electronic health record.
  • Participate in clinical supervision, training, and quality improvement activities.

Since 2010, Turning Point Recovery Center (TPRC) has helped thousands of

individuals and families find a path to lasting recovery. As a leading New Mexico

provider of substance use and co-occurring mental health treatment, we are committed

to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care that helps people build healthier and

more fulfilling lives. Our growing continuum of care includes outpatient and intensive outpatient services,

residential treatment, withdrawal management, recovery housing, and other recovery-

focused services. This continuum gives clinicians the opportunity to work with diverse

populations, collaborate across disciplines, and help clients progress through multiple

stages of recovery. We are seeking independently licensed clinicians and master’s-level clinicians

working toward independent licensure who are passionate about helping adults and

adolescents with substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions.

The Opportunity

At TPRC, clinicians have the opportunity to focus on what matters most: providing

Depending on your experience, licensure, interests, and preferred schedule, opportunities may include individual therapy, group therapy, diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary treatment team. Key Responsibilities

Depending on the position and level of licensure, responsibilities may include:

  • Conduct comprehensive intake, psychosocial, and diagnostic assessments.
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized, person-centered treatment plans.
  • Provide individual and group counseling or psychotherapy.
  • Utilize evidence-based and evidence-informed approaches such as Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), the Matrix Model, and other clinically appropriate modalities.
  • Provide integrated treatment for substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions.
  • Collaborate with physicians, psychiatric providers, nurses, counselors, peer support professionals, case managers, and other members of the treatment team.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment interventions based on clinical needs and outcomes.
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and clinically meaningful documentation in the electronic health record.
  • Participate in clinical consultation, supervision, training, and quality improvement activities.
Qualifications

We welcome candidates at different stages of their professional development.

Preferred candidates include:

  • Independently licensed New Mexico behavioral health professionals, including LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, PhD, or PsyD.
  • Master’s-level or provisionally licensed clinicians working toward independent licensure, including LMSW, LMHC, and other eligible behavioral health professionals.
  • Clinicians with experience or a strong interest in treating substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.
  • Professionals who value evidence-based practice, collaboration, accountability, and person-centered care.
  • Strong clinical communication and documentation skills.
  • Understanding of professional ethics, confidentiality, and behavioral health documentation standards.
  • Ability to effectively utilize an electronic health record and other clinical technology.
