Job summary

New Brunswick Counseling Center (NBCC) is seeking a Part-Time Bilingual Licensed Clinician (LSW or LAC) to support our Behavioral Health program at the New Brunswick location. This role values trauma-informed, culturally responsive, person-centered care and offers a supportive team environment.

The ideal candidate holds a New Jersey LSW or LAC license, speaks English and Spanish, and can conduct assessments, provide individual and group counseling, and document care using EMR systems.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field.
• Active New Jersey LSW or LAC license.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide individual and group counseling in person and via telehealth when appropriate.
• Provide bilingual behavioral health services to clients and families.
• Support individuals with mental health, substance use, and co-occurring conditions.
• Use evidence-informed approaches such as Motivational Interviewing, CBT/DBT-informed interventions, relapse prevention, or psychoeducation.
• Monitor client progress and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with clinical, medical, nursing, case management, peer support, and administrative teams.
• Participate in supervision, staff meetings, training, case conferences, and quality-improvement activities.
• Support Mobile Unit and community-based services as assigned.

We’re hiring a Part-Time Bilingual Licensed Clinician (LSW or LAC) to support our Behavioral Health program at New Brunswick location. What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field.
• Active New Jersey LSW or LAC license.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, ethical decision-making, and documentation skills.
• Ability to provide culturally responsive, person-centered care.
• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and basic computer applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in outpatient behavioral health, substance use treatment, community mental health, or co-occurring disorders.
• Experience with MAT/OTP services.
• Experience facilitating therapeutic or psychoeducational groups.
• Knowledge of Motivational Interviewing, CBT, DBT-informed interventions, relapse prevention, or recovery-oriented care.

Schedule & Location

New Brunswick Counseling Center (NBCC)

Schedule: Part-time, approximately 15-20 hours per week, with morning and afternoon shifts based on agency needs, program operations, and client availability.
