The role of this position is to provide clinical social work evaluations, counseling, medication monitoring under a psychiatrist's supervision, case management, and W & I 5150 implementation. Responsibilities include pre-release planning, crisis intervention, caseload management, documentation, triage, consultation, training, education, and referrals.

Jail Psychiatric Services (JPS) provides inpatient and outpatient mental health services to inmates in Sacramento County jails.
Must work in a stressful jail environment, pass security clearance, and be willing to work flexible hours including holidays and weekends. The position involves background checks, drug screening, fingerprinting, medical evaluation, and capacity assessments.
