Job summary

The University of Chicago seeks a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join the BSD PSY - Clinical Social Work department in Chicago. You will deliver brief, evidence-based interventions and provide opportunities for longer-term therapy as appropriate.

The role requires assessing client needs, creating treatment plans, and supporting clients toward measurable goals in a fast-paced clinical setting. Collaboration with psychiatrists and nurses is essential.

Qualifications

• Education: college/university degree in related field.
• Work Experience: 2–5 years in a related job discipline.
• Licenses: LCSW Illinois licensure or license eligible.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations.
• Provide goal-focused, evidence-based psychotherapy (individuals, couples, family, groups).
• Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team and community resources.
• Maintain timely electronic health records and ensure confidentiality.
