Job summary

Positive Generation in Christ, Inc. (PGIC) in Tarboro, NC seeks a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to provide clinical services for mental health and substance use needs.

The LCSW will advocate for clients and assist access to resources while working with diverse populations in an ethical, professional manner. The ideal candidate holds an MSW and NC LCSW licensure, with 2–3 years' experience across ages.

Qualifications

• MSW from an accredited program.
• Full LCSW licensure with the NC State Board of Social Work.
• Minimum 2–3 years experience with mental health and substance use populations (children, adolescents, adults).
• Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures in mental health and substance use treatment.

Responsibilities

• Provide ethical and professional clinical services in accordance with licensure standards.
• Manage a caseload of 25+ clients, including therapy and group sessions for children, adolescents, and adults.
• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, intakes, diagnoses, treatment planning, progress notes, and discharge planning.
• Advocate for client needs and connect clients with appropriate resources.
• Participate in individual and peer supervision regularly.
• Collaborate with other clinical staff and community professionals (psychiatrists, physicians).
• Facilitate referrals to support agencies as approved by supervisors.
• Deliver crisis intervention as needed.
• Plan treatment courses considering clients’ cultural, social, and personal factors.
• Provide training, supervision, and oversight to subordinate personnel.
• Attend workshops, conferences, and continuing education to maintain licensure and clinical skills.
• Perform other clinical duties within licensure scope.

Position Overview

Work Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Some Saturdays as needed
