Key Responsibilities:
- Empower Individuals: Conduct thorough mental health assessments and develop personalized treatment plans to support inmates in overcoming emotional and psychological challenges.
- Provide Life-Changing Support: Offer individual and group counseling sessions that encourage personal reflection, growth, and healing.
- Collaborate and Connect: Work closely with medical, security, and administrative teams to ensure holistic care and an integrated approach to inmate well-being.
- Be a Crisis Stabilizer: Provide immediate crisis intervention and de-escalation services when needed, ensuring the safety and mental health of all involved.

Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
- Current, active North Carolina LCSW license.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in mental health counseling, ideally in a correctional or institutional setting.
- Knowledge of mental health diagnoses, evidence-based therapeutic techniques, and crisis management.
- Strong ability to communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds and provide compassionate support in challenging situations.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries while fostering trust and a therapeutic relationship with inmates.
- Understanding of legal and ethical guidelines within a correctional mental health context.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in correctional or forensic mental health settings.
