Job summary

Backpack Healthcare is seeking a Kentucky-licensed mental health therapist to provide telehealth services for children, adolescents, and young adults across Kentucky. This part-time role enables you to set your schedule while the company handles referrals, billing, and credentialing.

You’ll conduct assessments, develop trauma-informed plans, and deliver evidence-based therapy remotely, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Active Kentucky independent license (LPCC, LCSW, or LMFT) required.
• Experience working with children, adolescents, and families.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments.
• Develop individualized, trauma-informed treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based individual and family therapy through secure telehealth.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team (therapists, PMHNPs, psychiatrists, care coordinators).
• Complete timely, accurate clinical documentation in the EHR.
• Support families through education, collaboration, and coordinated care.

What You'll Do

You'll provide 15-22 telehealth sessions per week , delivering individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults throughout Kentucky.

Most clinicians see clients during weekday afternoons and evenings (2:00-9:00 PM EST) , with weekend availability welcomed.

You create your schedule—we provide the referrals, administrative support, billing, and credentialing.

Your day-to-day includes:

• Conducting comprehensive behavioral health assessments
• Developing individualized, trauma-informed treatment plans
• Providing evidence-based individual and family therapy through secure telehealth
• Collaborating with our interdisciplinary care team, including therapists, PMHNPs, psychiatrists, and care coordinators
• Completing timely, accurate clinical documentation within our electronic health record (EHR)
• Supporting families through education, collaboration, and coordinated care

Competitive Compensation + Monthly Bonus Potential

We believe clinicians should have the opportunity to earn competitive compensation while maintaining the flexibility of part-time practice.

What You'll Earn

• $50 per billable hour for independently licensed clinicians

What We're Looking For

• An active Kentucky independent license ( LPCC, LCSW, or LMFT )
• Experience working with children, adolescents, and families—or a passion for serving this population
• The ability to work independently in a virtual environment
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills
• A commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive care
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) clinicians are strongly encouraged to apply
