AP Executive Staffing is proud to partner with a well-known and respected healthcare organization in the Buffalo area that is hiring its first-ever Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). This is an exciting opportunity to build something meaningful from the ground up, shaping the role, developing programs, and making a real impact on patients and families. This organization is taking a holistic approach to patient care, recognizing the critical importance of emotional and psychosocial support in the healing journey. You’ll be a key part of a compassionate care team dedicated to treating the whole person, not just the illness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide psychosocial assessments, counseling, and support to patients and their families navigating medical treatment
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and care coordinators to integrate emotional and social care into treatment planning
• Help patients overcome barriers to care, including transportation, housing, insurance, and caregiver needs
• Offer crisis intervention, grief counseling, and guidance through difficult care transitions

Qualifications:

• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New York
• 3+ years of experience in medical, oncology, or grief/bereavement counseling preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport across interdisciplinary teams
• Passion for holistic, patient-centered care and a desire to lead new initiatives
