POSITION SUMMARY:

The Clinical Social Worker at Freedom Behavioral Lake Charles plays an important role in supporting patients and collaborating with the multidisciplinary treatment team to provide compassionate, patient-centered behavioral healthcare. This position focuses on addressing the emotional, social, and environmental needs of patients while helping promote positive treatment outcomes and continuity of care.

In this role, the Clinical Social Worker works closely with physicians, nursing staff, therapists, patients, and families to assess patient needs, provide crisis intervention, and assist with individualized treatment and discharge planning. They help advocate for patients, coordinate community resources, and support communication across all levels of care.

The Clinical Social Worker also participates in treatment team meetings, assists with discharge coordination, maintains accurate documentation, and helps ensure compliance with facility policies and healthcare regulations. This position is ideal for a compassionate, organized, and motivated professional with strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a passion for helping others.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Education: Master’s in Social Work form an accredited school of social work
• License: Licensed through the State by the Regulatory Body that is vested to bestow licensure to Social Workers
• Experience: One year experience performing duties as a Social Worker in a Behavioral Health setting
