Licensed Clinical Counselor (Notional Opportunity)

***This position is contingent upon contract award and will be located onsite in the southeast, southwest, or central United States. Travel may be required.***

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure adherence to all contract and Acuity policies and procedures.
  2. Conduct and document mental health assessments, providing ongoing individual and group counseling as per policies.
  3. Manage caseload coverage during time off to maintain continuity of care.
  4. Complete assessments and screenings in accordance with contract policies and ethical standards.
  5. Provide quality care, respond to crises, write risk assessments, and make appropriate referrals.
  6. Screen for human trafficking, assess for child abuse and neglect, and refer as needed.
  7. Document biopsychosocial assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, and safety plans.
  8. Collaborate with staff, case managers, and management; attend required meetings.
  9. Maintain electronic records accurately and ensure data entry for reports and metrics.
  10. Report incidents per policies, follow up with documentation.
  11. Support operational needs, including organizing meetings, record-keeping, and communication.
  12. Comply with mandated reporting requirements.
  13. Assist in policy development and implementation.
  14. Maintain confidentiality and proper record-keeping, both on and off duty.
  15. Help ensure departmental operations comply with policies.
  16. Handle client and customer complaints appropriately.
  17. Perform Emergency Behavioral Interventions and monitor responses.
  18. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or relevant behavioral science plus 3 years of counseling experience.
  • Active, valid, unrestricted clinical license in any Clinical Counseling field.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Clean Child Abuse and Neglect (CA/N) or Child Protective Services check.
  • Ability to multitask, be detail-oriented, organized, and communicate effectively.
  • Proficiency in computer use, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Flexible scheduling due to operational needs.
  • Ability to remain calm under stress.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in residential shelters or treatment centers.
  • Proficiency with electronic data systems.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:
  • Ability to ascend/descend stairs, lift up to 50 lbs, and withstand environmental conditions.
  • Manual dexterity and sensory acuity required.
  • Must stay alert, sit, stand, walk, and respond quickly in emergencies.
