LOSE DESIGN seeks a licensed Civil Engineer (Site Development) for our Duluth, GA office. The role focuses on municipal, parks, infrastructure, residential and commercial projects across the eastern U.S. You will design land development plans, analyze constraints, and create visual aids using Civil3D.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years' civil engineering experience, a PE license, strong client communication, and the ability to mentor junior staff while managing budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• PE license in state of practice required.
• 5+ years of civil engineering experience related to site design, land development and land use permitting.
• Experience with Civil3D required.
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication and design skills.

Job description

LOSE DESIGN is currently seeking a licensed Civil Engineer (Site Development) for our Duluth, GA office. Projects will predominantly include municipal, parks and recreation, infrastructure, residential and commercial projects across the eastern half of the United States.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable with creating engineering plans for land development based on their calculations and any research conducted. They should have experience with Civil3D and be able to utilize strong design skills in order to create visual aids. By utilizing strong organizational and communication skills, this candidate will also have the ability to execute a project based on the criteria outlined.

Responsibilities:

• Meeting with clients to understand their needs and goals for the project
• Conducting site analyses to identify physical, social, and ecological constraints and opportunities
• Developing conceptual and detailed design plans using Civil3D and other design tools
• Collaborating with other design professionals to ensure that all aspects of the project are coordinated
• Coordinating with contractors and other construction professionals to ensure that plans are implemented correctly and on schedule
• Participating in meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to present designs and address questions and concerns
• Managing budgets and schedules for projects
• Providing technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members
• To be successful in this role, the licensed professional should have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members. They should also have a good understanding of construction techniques, building codes, and zoning regulations. A bachelor's or master's degree in the discipline is required for this position, as well as state licensure.
