Job summary

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Civil Site Engineer to join our Land Development Team in Duluth, GA.

In this role, you'll deliver innovative site development solutions for commercial, residential, and institutional projects, guiding design and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team. You will perform engineering design, calculations, and production of plans and reports, applying local codes and QA/QC standards while collaborating with survey, environmental, and permitting efforts to move

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Minimum of 3 years of civil site design required.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Strong working and theoretical knowledge in the respective engineering discipline with a proven ability to apply engineering knowledge in practical settings.
• Understanding of QA/QC procedures and regulatory standards.
• Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Independently complete engineering design, technical analysis, and preparation of plans, specifications, and reports for land development projects including site layout, grading, drainage, and utility infrastructure.
• Develop design calculations, technical memorandums, and construction documents under the guidance of senior engineers or technical leadership.
• Identify and resolve technical discrepancies, applying standard engineering practices, local development codes, and permitting requirements.
• Monitor project progress and coordinate design efforts to support schedules, budgets, and constructability.
• Take responsibility for significant portions of land development projects with oversight from senior staff or management, including coordination with survey, environmental, and permitting efforts.

Salary Range:

$80,000 - $90,000

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
