Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Social Work or related field required.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Therapist provides clinical social work services in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Lakeside Behavioral Health. The Therapist is responsible for psychosocial assessments, individual, group and family therapy, participation in treatment team planning, processing commitments, and discharge planning/case management service, crisis intervention and liaison services with referral sources and other departments within the hospital.

Qualifications

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description. The specifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability to meet the minimum requirements for this position. Staff must demonstrate flexibility for reassignment to units providing care to varied populations including, adults and dually diagnosed patients in an inpatient and partial hospital setting.

Education: Master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical/Counseling Psychology or Social Services related field required, licensure required.

Experience: Prior experience working with a psychiatric mental health population, preferably in an outpatient setting.

Licensure/Certification: TN LMSW, LCSW,LMFT, LPC, LPC-MHSP required.

Knowledge: Knowledge of case management, discharge planning, group leadership skills, age specific growth and development, crisis and behavior management, family therapy theory and practice.

Supervision Received: Director of Social Services, Program Directors, Program Coordinators
