Job summary

LA VAQUITA is seeking candidates for a cheese production role on the third shift. The position involves cooking milk and ingredients to make cheese, pasteurizing milk and adjusting butterfat levels to meet recipes. Experience with SAP and strict GMP standards is preferred.

Applicants must hold a Wisconsin cheesemaker or pasteurizer license or have relevant license/experience, with a $2,000 signing bonus offered after 90 days of continuous employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Production or general work experience preferred.
• Certification and/or License may be required during course of employment.

Responsibilities

• Cook milk and ingredients to create cheese according to recipe.
• Pasteurize and separate milk to achieve target butterfat content.
• Monitor casein-to-fat ratio to maximize cheese yield.
• Perform CIP on HTST, vats, separators, curd and whey lines as needed.
