Job summary

Maine Drilling & Blasting Inc. is seeking a Licensed Blaster to perform blasting activities in accordance with the job program and under supervision of the Blasting Supervisor and Project Superintendent.

The role offers DOE pay and a company vehicle, with extensive safety and regulatory requirements. Candidate will work on job sites, ensure pre-blast inspections, conduct seismograph setup, and document explosives usage.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years' experience with drills and explosives.
• Completed Blaster I; must complete Blaster II.
• Valid Blasting Certificate as required by state.
• CDL with hazmat endorsement and clean driving record.
• Able to transport explosives across state lines.
• Must pass ATF screenings and follow safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform blasting activities as directed.
• Work as a job site blaster under supervision.
• Provide input on blast-related activities to planners.
• Identify blast site problems and coordinate resolutions.
• Verify pre-blast inspections and perform tests.
• Document explosives use and inventory.
• Transport explosives across state lines when needed.
• Maintain field accounting and trip manifests.
• Attend meetings and daily safety talks.
