Job summary

Maine Drilling & Blasting is seeking a Licensed Blaster to perform blasting activities and support field operations. You will work under the Blasting Supervisor and Project Superintendent, ensuring proper pre-blast procedures, testing, and safe handling of explosives.

Requires a High School degree, two years of experience with drills/explosives, Blaster I/II training, a valid blasting certificate where needed, and a CDL with hazmat endorsement. Travel and background checks are part of the role.

Qualifications

• High School Degree is required.
• Minimum of two years experience with drills and explosives.
• Blaster I training completed; Blaster II training required.
• Possess a valid blasting certificate where required.
• CDL with hazmat endorsement; company-qualified driver.
• Able to travel out of town/state and pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Performs blasting activity to achieve production goals.
• Operates as a job-site blaster under supervision.
• Provides input on blast-related planning with supervision.
• Identifies and resolves blast site problems with supervision.
• Ensures pre-blast inspections and tests are completed.
• Follows company safety policies at all times.
• Documents use of explosives and inventory paperwork.
