Job summary

Ascension is seeking a behavioral health counselor for its Outpatient Youth Programs in Indianapolis. Qualifications

  • BLS Provider certification preferred.
  • Full clinical license like LMHC, LCAC, LMFT, or LCSW is essential.

We Are Hiring

Sign-on bonus: up to $10,000 if eligible*

  • Department: Ascension Stress Center - Outpatient Youth Programs - Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs
  • Schedule: Full time - Day shift - hours are based on programming needs.
  • Location: Indianapolis, IN

Masters degree in behavioral health related field required.

Must have required licensure.

This position is with our Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs targeting early childhood age populations.

What You Will Do

Provide behavioral health counseling services.

  • Conduct patient assessments and establish therapy treatment goals.
  • Administer individual and group therapy.
  • Maintain thorough and confidential records of observations.
  • Evaluate progress and effectiveness of therapy interventions.
  • Provide patient with information regarding resources and therapeutic activities in the community.
  • Work directly with the patient, family, physician and community providers to ensure active and collaborate care from the initiation of treatment to the time of discharge.
What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • One or more of the following required:
    • Licensed Associate Counselor specializing in Mental Health credentialed from the Indiana Behavioral Health and Human Services Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Licensed Associate Counselor specializing in Clinical Addiction credentialed from the Indiana Behavioral Health and Human Services Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Licensed Social Worker credentialed from the Indiana Behavioral Health and Human Services Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Licensed Associate Therapist specializing in Marriage & Family credentialed from the Indiana Behavioral Health and Human Services Licensing Board obtained within 48 Months (4 years) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work required.
Additional Preferences

Eligible candidates must have a master’s in Counseling, Social Work, or another related field and must have a FULL clinical license as a LMHC, LCAC, LMFT, or LCSW.Hours vary depending on the program.
