Qualifications

  • Licensure from Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation required.
  • BLS Provider preferred, with experience in maternal medicine strongly preferred.

Job description

We Are Hiring
  • Department:Maternal Medicine
  • Schedule:PRN, as needed, multiple shifts
  • Hospital:Ascension Saint Alexius
  • Location:Hoffman Estates, IL
  • Salary:$31.25 per hour
What You Will Do

Provide behavioral health counseling services.

  • Conduct patient assessments and establish therapy treatment goals.
  • Administer individual and group therapy.
  • Maintain thorough and confidential records of observations.
  • Evaluate progress and effectiveness of therapy interventions.
  • Provide patients with information regarding resources and therapeutic activities in the community.
  • Work directly with patients, families, physicians, and community providers to ensure active and collaborative care from the initiation of treatment to discharge.
What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • One or more of the following required:
    • Clinical Counselor credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Therapist specializing in Marriage & Family credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or transfer date.
    • Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Social Worker specializing in Clinical Practice credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
Additional Preferences

Schedule: Days and shifts will vary.

Maternal Medicine experience STRONGLY PREFERRED.

Required Licensure: LPC or LSW.

Preferred Licensure: LCPC or LCSW.
