Job description

Life Strategies Counseling Inc., part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking a Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician/Therapist to join our team in Cabot, AR. As a member of the Optum Behavioral Care team, you'll be an integral part of our vision to make healthcare better for everyone.

As a Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician/Therapist, you will treat a wide variety of mental health conditions that reflect the needs of our diverse patient population. We offer a variety of solutions that meet the unique needs of our workforce and the patients they serve. From clinical operations such as credentialing to business operations such as contracting, we provide organizational support that allows our providers to focus on what matters - providing care.

Primary Responsibilities:
  1. Screen and assess patients for common mental health and substance abuse disorders
  2. Provide treatment for mental health conditions using approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and other evidence-based methods
  3. Track treatment response and monitor patients for changes in clinical symptoms and side effects or complications
  4. Maintain accurate electronic medical records and clinical documentation, ensuring regulatory compliance

Required Qualifications:
  1. Master's degree in psychology, social work, or a related counseling field
  2. Active, unrestricted license (LICSW, LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, or LPC) in the state of practice
  3. Eligibility to enroll as a provider in Medicare or ability to terminate opt-out prior to starting
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. 2+ years of professional experience providing behavioral health services
  2. Experience providing psychotherapy to individuals and families
  3. Experience with electronic health records and professional communication tools
  4. Ability to work independently and collaboratively
