Job summary

Amador County is seeking a Behavioral Health Clinician at the journey/licensed level to deliver psychotherapy and counseling to adults, children, and families. The role includes crisis response, intake, assessment, and treatment planning across clinics, homes, and schools.

The incumbent will work with a multidisciplinary team, participate in supervision, and may oversee students. A master's degree in a related field and CA licensure or eligibility are required, with on-call duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, counseling or related field.
• Active licensure path or eligibility for CA licensure (AMFT/ACSW/APCC or LMFT/LCSW/LPCC) and supervision requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect behavioral health services in outpatient clinics, homes, schools and community settings.
• Performs interviews to gather data relevant to assessing mental or emotional disorders.
• Develops service plans with consumers.
• Evaluates and documents needs and coordinates with psychiatrists, supervisors and program managers.
• Initiates and conducts brief therapy with individuals, groups and families.
• Works with treatment team to develop and implement interventions including case management.
• Maintains contacts with local mental health resources and community partners.
• Provides on-call crisis services evenings, weekends and holidays including 24/7 mobile crisis response.
• Mentors staff and may supervise students/associates.
