Job summary

Sephora Lincoln Center in Stockton, CA is seeking a Licensed Beauty Advisor to guide clients on their beauty journey at the Beauty Studio and beyond. You’ll be a beauty expert, teaching, inspiring, and connecting with shoppers to help them Belong to Something Beautiful.

Responsibilities include driving results by providing beauty services, performing makeup and waxing, and staying current on trends and product knowledge.

Qualifications

• Active license to provide waxing, makeup, and false application services in the state of performance.
• 1–3 years' experience in a similar role or in retail, hospitality, or service environment.
• Strong knowledge of beauty products, services, trends, and techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver personalized client service and build lasting relationships.

• Provide makeup, waxing, and other services listed in Sephora’s Beauty Services menu and stay informed on trends and product knowledge.
• Maintain licensure and uphold hygiene standards, keeping licenses active and health and safety protocols.
• Foster inclusiveness and teamwork; promote a culture of openness.
• Uphold Sephora standards and follow company policies to ensure a safe, enjoyable shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive results Help achieve store goals by providing and rebooking beauty services, servicing clients, and selling products
• Perform beauty services Provide makeup, waxing, and other services listed in Sephora’s Beauty Services menu. Stay informed about all beauty trends and product knowledge to educate and empower clients
• Maintain licensure and uphold hygiene standards Keep licenses active and always uphold health and safety protocols
• Foster inclusiveness and teamwork Help promote a culture of openness where everyone feels empowered
• Uphold Sephora standards Follow company policies and help create a safe, secure, and enjoyable shopping experience for all

Flexible Scheduling and Reliability

• Must meet the required minimum number of weekly shifts/ hours
  • Full Time: 30-40 hrs/week
  • Part Time: 15-29 hrs/week
  • Flex (as needed): 4-14 hrs/week
• Be available during peak retail operations (nights, weekends and holidays)
• Punctuality and consistent attendance

Qualifications/Experience

• An active license to provide waxing, makeup, and false application services in the state where the services are being performed
• 1-3 years' experience in a similar role or in a retail, hospitality, or service environment
• Strong knowledge of beauty products, services, trends, and techniques
• Demonstrated ability to deliver personalized client service and build lasting relationships
• Team player who thrives in a collaborative and goal-oriented environment
• Quick learner with ability to absorb and share product knowledge effectively
• Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

$22.30 - $25.65/hr. The actual hourly pay offered depends on various factors, including relevant qualifications and experience; and other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position and/or geographic location.
