Job summary

Sephora in Mission Viejo, CA is seeking a Licensed Beauty Advisor to guide clients at the Beauty Studio and beyond. You’ll be a beauty expert, educating and inspiring clients while building lasting relationships in a diverse, supportive team environment.

You’ll maintain licensure, follow hygiene standards, and stay current on beauty trends. Flexible scheduling includes Full Time 30–40 hrs, Part Time 15–29 hrs, or Flex as needed, with a focus on belonging to something beautiful.

Qualifications

• Active license to provide waxing, makeup, and false application services in the state.
• 1-3 years' experience in a similar role or in retail, hospitality, or service environment.
• Strong knowledge of beauty products, services, trends, and techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver personalized client service and build lasting relationships.
• Team player who thrives in a collaborative and goal-oriented environment.
• Quick learner with ability to absorb and share product knowledge effectively.
• Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Drive results by providing and rebooking beauty services, servicing clients, and selling products.
• Perform beauty services: makeup, waxing, and other services listed in Sephora’s Beauty Services menu; stay informed about trends and educate clients.
• Maintain licensure and uphold hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive results Help achieve store goals by providing and rebooking beauty services, servicing clients, and selling products
• Perform beauty services Provide makeup, waxing, and other services listed in Sephora’s Beauty Services menu. Stay informed about all beauty trends and product knowledge to educate and empower clients
• Maintain licensure and uphold hygiene standards Keep licenses active and always uphold health and safety protocols
• Foster inclusiveness and teamwork Help promote a culture of openness where everyone feels empowered
• Uphold Sephora standards Follow company policies and help create a safe, secure, and enjoyable shopping experience for all

Flexible Scheduling and Reliability

• Must meet the required minimum number of weekly shifts/ hours
  • Full Time: 30-40 hrs/week
  • Part Time: 15-29 hrs/week
  • Flex (as needed): 4-14 hrs/week
• Be available during peak retail operations (nights, weekends and holidays)
• Punctuality and consistent attendance

$22.30 - $25.65/hr. The actual hourly pay offered depends on various factors, including relevant qualifications and experience; and other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position and/or geographic location.
