Job summary

Sephora Santana Row in San Jose, CA is seeking a Licensed Beauty Advisor to guide clients on their beauty journey at the Beauty Studio and beyond. You’ll be a beauty expert, educating clients on trends, products, and services while delivering exceptional, personalized service.

You must hold an active state license for waxing, makeup and related services. The role requires 1–3 years in a similar setting, a team mindset, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

• An active license to provide waxing, makeup, and false application services in the state where the services are performed.
• 1–3 years’ experience in a similar role or in a retail, hospitality, or service environment.
• Strong knowledge of beauty products, services, trends, and techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver personalized client service and build lasting relationships.
• Team player who thrives in a collaborative and goal-oriented environment.
• Quick learner with ability to absorb and share product knowledge effectively.
• Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive results – Help achieve store goals by providing and rebooking beauty services, servicing clients, and selling products
• Perform beauty services – Provide makeup, waxing, and other services listed in Sephora’s Beauty Services menu. Stay informed about all beauty trends and product knowledge to educate and empower clients

Flexible Scheduling and Reliability

• Must meet the required minimum number of weekly shifts/ hours
  • Full Time: 30-40 hrs/week
  • Part Time: 15-29 hrs/week
  • Flex (as needed): 4-14 hrs/week
• Be available during peak retail operations (nights, weekends and holidays)
• Punctuality and consistent attendance

$24.00 - $27.60/hr. The actual hourly pay offered depends on various factors, including relevant qualifications and experience; and other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position and/or geographic location.
