Job summary

Sephora at DC-Georgetown (0346) is seeking a Licensed Beauty Advisor to guide clients on their beauty journey, provide services, and drive sales. You will join a diverse, supportive team and uphold high hygiene standards while maintaining licensure.

The role requires an active state license for waxing, makeup, and lashes, 1–3 years’ relevant experience, strong product knowledge, and a customer-focused approach. Flexible scheduling and a commitment to inclusivity are valued.

Qualifications

• An active license to provide waxing, makeup, and false application services in the state where the services are performed.
• 1-3 years’ experience in a similar role or in a retail, hospitality, or service environment.
• Strong knowledge of beauty products, services, trends, and techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver personalized client service and build lasting relationships.
• Team player who thrives in a collaborative and goal-oriented environment.
• Quick learner with ability to absorb and share product knowledge effectively.
• Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive results: Help achieve store goals by providing and rebooking beauty services, servicing clients, and selling products
• Perform beauty services: Provide makeup, waxing, and other services listed in Sephora’s Beauty Services menu. Stay informed about all beauty trends and product knowledge to educate and empower clients
• Maintain licensure and uphold hygiene standards: Keep licenses active and always uphold health and safety protocols
• Foster inclusiveness and teamwork: Help promote a culture of openness where everyone feels empowered
• Uphold Sephora standards: Follow company policies and help create a safe, secure, and enjoyable shopping experience for all

Flexible Scheduling and Reliability

• Must meet the required minimum number of weekly shifts/hours: Full Time 30-40 hrs/week; Part Time 15-29 hrs/week; Flex (as needed) 4-14 hrs/week
• Be available during peak retail operations (nights, weekends, and holidays)
• Punctuality and consistent attendance
