Job summary

Hair Cuttery in Sterling, VA is seeking an Assistant Salon Manager eager to lead the floor while staying hands-on behind the chair. You’ll mentor stylists, coach using the IGROW model, and help drive guest satisfaction and salon profitability.

As the "Right Hand" to the Salon Leader, you’ll oversee daily operations, scheduling, and local partnerships, while maintaining a positive, productive salon culture and compliant practice. This role is full-time and performance-based.

Qualifications

• Current Cosmetology license in the state you are applying.
• Full-time leadership role (40 hours per week).
• Stamina to stand for long periods and dexterity to perform all salon services.
• Great attitude, stellar communication, and inventory/cash math skills are essential.

• Keep it Clean & Compliant: You’ll help ensure the salon meets all State Board and OSHA standards—because a safe salon is a successful salon.
• Marketing Pro: Help execute local partnerships and digital campaigns to keep those chairs full and the brand buzzing.

The "Must-Haves" (Requirements):

• The License: You must have a current Cosmetology license for the state where you’re applying.
• The Commitment: This is a full-time leadership role (minimum 40 hours per week).
• The Hustle: You’ll need the physical stamina to stand for long periods and the dexterity to perform all salon services with precision.
• The Skills: Previous leadership experience is a plus, but a great attitude, basic math skills (for inventory/cash), and stellar communication are non-negotiable.
• The Gear: Bring your personal equipment daily and be ready to rock!
