Job summary

Hair Cuttery is seeking an Assistant Salon Manager who will remain behind the chair while stepping into leadership duties. You will be the right hand to the Salon Leader, guiding daily operations, mentoring stylists, and ensuring a safe, productive salon culture.

You will help manage scheduling, learn business metrics, and support onboarding for new talent, with a focus on growth and guest experiences. This is a full-time leadership role with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have active Cosmetology license for the applying state.
• Full-time leadership role (minimum 40 hours per week).
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform salon services.
• Great attitude with strong communication; basic math for inventory and cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations on the floor, manage the appointment book, ensure guests leave satisfied.
• Coach and mentor stylists using the IGROW model to help reach goals.
• Maintain cleanliness and compliance with State Board and OSHA standards.
• Support marketing efforts with local partnerships and digital campaigns to keep chairs full.

• Keep it Clean & Compliant: You’ll help ensure the salon meets all State Board and OSHA standards—because a safe salon is a successful salon.
• Marketing Pro: Help execute local partnerships and digital campaigns to keep those chairs full and the brand buzzing.

The "Must-Haves" (Requirements):

• The License: You must have a current Cosmetology license for the state where you’re applying.
• The Commitment: This is a full-time leadership role (minimum 40 hours per week).
• The Hustle: You’ll need the physical stamina to stand for long periods and the dexterity to perform all salon services with precision.
• The Skills: Previous leadership experience is a plus, but a great attitude, basic math skills (for inventory/cash), and stellar communication are non-negotiable.
• The Gear: Bring your personal equipment daily and be ready to rock!
