Job summary

DDCues LLC in New York City is seeking Licensed Armed Guards for a part-time role at the SoHo location. You will deter theft and maintain order indoors, using a calm, professional presence and verbal commands.

No unnecessary physical contact unless protecting yourself or others from harm, with shifts Monday through Saturday 10:00 am–8:00 pm and Sunday 11:00 am–6:00 pm. Candidates must hold a New York State Armed Guard license or active law enforcement credentials, with strong observation skills

Qualifications

• 7+ years Law Enforcement experience.
• New York State Armed Guard license or active Law Enforcement credentials.
• Excellent surveillance and observation skills.
• Familiar and comfortable with report writing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high situational awareness
• Maintain a professional presence inside the store acting as a crime deterrent
• Adhere to DDCues Post Orders and General Instructions
• Report Incidents immediately as they occur, both to the client and DDCues Corporate Office
• Security must maintain all certifications with the New York Department of Licensing Agency and must have certification card(s) or Active Law Enforcement Officer Credentials on their person while on duty.
• Security will be professionally dressed in a tactical uniform that includes an easily recognizable Security shirt, jacket and/or hat that visually identifies them as the on‑duty security to the client, staff, and the general public.

SALARY: $35 per hour

HOURS: Location hours are Monday - Saturday 10:00 am - 8:00 pm, Sunday 11:00 am – 6:00 pm.

JOB DESCRIPTION: This detail is designed to be a visual deterrent against theft, physical confrontation, and other offensive behavior. Security is to use their command presence and verbal instruction to deter theft and address patrons that are harassing other patrons, damaging equipment, or creating physical confrontation. Security WILL NOTmake any form of physical contact with anyone unless they are protecting themselves or others from bodily harm. Security will remain indoors at all times and will not chase after or engage any patron that departs the property for physical confrontation, theft, equipment damage, or failure to pay for merchandise.
