Job summary

Port City Architecture is seeking an Architectural Designer or Architect with 3+ years of professional experience for an in-office role in Portland, ME. The ideal candidate will be licensed or on track, proficient in Revit and AutoCAD, and capable of coordinating construction documents and collaborating with engineers and leadership.

The position emphasizes on-site work in Portland’s Old Port, with travel as needed and a commitment to quality design, code compliance, and effective communication

Qualifications

• Professional degree in architecture from an accredited school.
• RA or on track for licensure with 3+ years of professional experience.
• High proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD; experience with Deltek Specpoint, SketchUp, Twinmotion is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, construction detailing, and production of construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate comprehensive construction documents and assist in space planning, code reviews, and technical detailing.
• Work on-site, participate in field visits, and coordinate with contractors.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering consultants (MEP, Structural, Civil) and firm leadership.
