Job summary

Wight & Company, a nationally recognized architecture, engineering, and construction firm, seeks a Licensed Architect with 5–10 years of experience to lead design development, documentation, and construction administration for small to mid-sized projects.

You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, support client and consultant coordination, and contribute to high-quality project delivery from concept through completion. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Licensed Architect with current registration.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture from an accredited program.
• 5-10 years of professional experience in an architectural firm.
• Proficient in design and documentation software such as Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, Procore, Adobe CS, and MS Office.
• Strong design sensibility, technical knowledge, communication, and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design Development: contribute to and advance design concepts aligned with client goals and project requirements.
• Project Execution: support and lead portions of architectural projects through design, documentation, coordination, and construction administration.
• Technical Documentation: plan, develop, and produce comprehensive technical documents with code awareness.
• Interdisciplinary Coordination: coordinate with engineering, construction, consulting, and design teams.
• Project Planning & Management: assist with planning, milestones, and delivery aligned with schedule and budget.
• Sustainability: incorporate sustainable design principles into project work.
• Quality Assurance: review documents for accuracy, coordination, and constructability.
• Construction Administration: support submittals, RFIs, field observations, and meetings.
• Client & Consultant Coordination: prepare materials, document decisions, and maintain alignment.
• Mentorship & Versatility: guide junior staff and adapt to various roles as needed.
