Job summary

Anabranch Recovery Center in Terre Haute, IN is seeking a Licensed Counselor Two to provide treatment, counseling, and support to clients in recovery from addictions and related disorders. The counselor conducts assessments, leads group and individual sessions, and assists families as part of a comprehensive care plan.

The on-site position requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in social services, addictions, or related fields, plus state licensure and CPR/de-escalation training.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor’s degree in social services, addiction, mental health or closely related field with 3+ years of post-Bachelor degree experience OR master’s degree with 1+ year post-Masters experience.
• Licensure or certifications as social worker, professional counselor, therapist or addiction counselor per state agency.
• CPR certification and de-escalation training required (training provided). First aid may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead client assessments to identify history, current presentation, and treatment needs.
• Conduct ongoing assessments of chemical dependence services.
• Prepare and review initial treatment plans and progress notes.
• Lead group, individual or family sessions and apply evidence-based modalities.
