Job summary

Anabranch Recovery Center in Terre Haute, IN is seeking a PRN Licensed Counselor - Addiction Recovery to support clients in their recovery from addictions and related mental health conditions. This onsite role requires licensure and a commitment to individualized care.

Responsibilities include conducting assessments, leading counseling sessions, providing crisis intervention, and coordinating aftercare with thorough documentation and insurance referrals.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor’s degree in social services, addiction, mental health or closely related field with 3+ years of post-Bachelor degree experience OR master’s with 1+ year post-Master experience.
• Degree must be from an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Conduct client assessments identifying history, current presentation, and treatment needs.
• Carry out ongoing assessments of chemical dependence services required by the program.
• Develop initial treatment plans and progress reviews; document as required.
• Lead group, individual, or family sessions and apply evidence-based modalities.
• Provide education on substance abuse and psychiatric issues to clients and families.
• Document all client care and incidents clearly and timely.
• Provide crisis intervention and counseling as needed.
• Plan aftercare documentation for assigned clients.
• Act as liaison with insurance carriers and referrals sources.
• Provide case management and ensure individualized quality care.
• Conduct educational workshops in hospital and community settings.
• Collaborate with self-help groups and EAP professionals.
• Evaluate client needs to determine level of care and referral to other programs.
