Overview

Southeast Behavioral Health Clinic – Fargo, ND – Licensed Addiction Counselor. Sign-on bonus up to $15,000. Be part of the solution to the behavioral health crisis as a team member for ND Department of Health & Human Services, ensuring access to high-quality healthcare, prevention, effective treatment, and recovery.

Responsibilities

• Complete level of care screenings and assist in developing integrated service plans.
• Provide short-term individual, family, and group counseling.
• Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments in the office and in the community.
• Provide education and consultation to families, community members, interns, and residents.
• Travel to meet clients in their homes or communities; services are provided in homes and communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Addiction Counseling, Addiction Studies, Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology.
• Current licensure as an Addiction Counselor (LAC) by the North Dakota Board of Addiction Counseling Examiners.
• Valid driver’s license and successful completion of the assigned defensive driving course during new-hire orientation.

Location & Work Model

ND HHS utilizes a blended workplace model. This position provides essential client services face to face and requires travel to client locations. A state fleet vehicle will be available for use when traveling to clients.
