Salary

Average Annual Salary: $68,000 to $72,000

Responsibilities
  • Report to the Health and Wellness Manager (RN); position is salaried and exempt.
  • Design, develop, and implement programs related to substance use and abuse prevention and intervention, collaborating with the Mental Health Consultant and Health Services staff.
  • Coordinate programs aimed at reducing substance use and abuse, ensuring compliance with Department of Labor/Job Corps guidelines.
  • Conduct in-service training for staff and students on substance use and abuse topics.
  • Recommend medical terminations related to substance misuse in consultation with relevant staff.
  • Monitor behavior and progress of students involved in substance abuse programs.
  • Maintain confidential reports and records on referrals and cases.
Qualifications
  • Active, unrestricted substance abuse license or certification as per state requirements.
  • Preferably one year of relevant experience.
  • Experience working with youth is preferred.
  • Master’s degree and experience with disadvantaged youth, especially in residential settings, are preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record is preferred.
  • Must pass a drug screen and maintain compliance with workplace policies.
Additional Requirements

Broad knowledge of counseling techniques, intervention programs for alcohol and drugs, and training skills in individual and group counseling. Good organizational, communication, and computer skills. Ability to interact effectively with team members and maintain good working relationships. Must obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid certification.
