Job summary

Halcyon House in Duluth, Minnesota is seeking a licensed acupuncturist to join our employee-owned cooperative wellness center. We already have an established acupuncture client base and a clear path to grow your practice within our integrated team.

You will deliver acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine treatments, document care in our EHR, follow HIPAA, and collaborate with massage, physical therapy, and other practitioners to expand community programs and improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must hold a NCCAOM board certification.
• Minnesota state acupuncture license required.
• BLS/CPR certified and able to provide proof of certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health history using TCM theory and formulate differential diagnoses.
• Provide acupuncture and TCM treatments in private and community settings as available.
• Comply with MN scope of practice and clean needle technique; adhere to HIPAA requirements.
• Document observations and care plans in the organization’s EHR; coordinate referrals as needed.
• Support cooperative growth and participate in performance improvement activities.

Halcyon House is seeking an acupuncturist for our Wellness Center. Halcyon House currently has existing acupuncture clients and there is also room to grow your practice.

Halcyon House is an employee owned co-operative wellness center. We offer several services under one roof including: therapeutic massage, physical therapy, adult and pediatric occupational therapy, and sound healing. Our vision is to offer Duluth a well rounded variety of wellness services from a team of experienced practitioners.

The Role:

As a licensed acupuncturist at our clinic, you\'ll play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive exceptional care and feel truly valued. This position calls for a mix of clinical expertise, a patient-focused approach, and a passion for fostering a holistic healthcare environment. We are seeking someone eager to focus on patient care within a collaborative, nurturing environment alongside like-minded practitioners. Key Responsibilities:

• Use TCM theory to assess and evaluate health history. Formulate appropriate differential diagnosis based on Traditional Chinese Medicine.
• Provide acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine treatments to patients in both private and community settings. (We have currently only offered private sessions, however we have interest in community sessions as well).
• Adhere to MN statute 147B regarding the scope of practice for licensed acupuncturists.
• Adhere to clean needle technique.
• Comply with all HIPAA requirements.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation of observations, interventions, plan of care, referrals and follow-up.
• Document in organization’s EHR with clear, concise, organized charting
• Identify needs of the individual and develop a plan of care or education plan.
• Reassess and modify the plan of care as necessary to achieve health goals
• Make appropriate referrals to other health professionals and community agencies.
• Support new and existing programs which expand the organizations’ role in the community.
• Participate in performance improvement activities.
• Adhere to productivity standards established by the organization.
• Perform other duties as needed in order to keep a clean, calm treatment environment, such as keeping the treatment area clean, sanitize the room and supplies according to clinic written standards, clean all medical supplies utilized, such as cups, guasha tools, etc., and other related duties with appropriate training.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

• Experience with electronic health records
• Experience with community acupuncture
• Experience with prescribing Chinese herbal medicine

Requirements:

• Education at a level that qualifies for national board certification in acupuncture from the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM)
• Valid license to practice acupuncture in the state of Minnesota
• Valid national board certification in Acupuncture from the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM)
• BLS/CPR Certified
• US Citizen or hold proper work authorization to be legally eligible to work in the United States

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $30.00 - $60.00 per hour
