Job summary

PIH Health Downey seeks a Licensed Vocational Nurse to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. The LVN will work within the boundaries of licensed practice, ensuring safe care and patient education in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities emphasize teamwork, clinical competence, and patient/family teaching across ages, in Medical/Surgical units as appropriate. Night shifts with a shift differential apply.

Qualifications

• Current California LVN license.

• Prior experience in an acute care facility in Medical/Surgical as appropriate.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Card.
• Intravenous Certification.

Provides direct patient care under the direction/supervision of a registered nurse.
