Sentara Virginia Beach GH Oncology is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse to join their team!

Department Overview: 2 South Oncology at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is a 26-bed unit that takes pride in providing exceptional, quality care. This unit prepares you for a valued nursing career in oncology care or for wherever your nursing path leads. Our nurses work with all cancers, specializing in leukemia and lymphoma treatment, radiation, gynecologic cancers, hematologic disorders, end of life patients. Role Overview

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides basic nursing care under the supervision of an RN or Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP) in the clinical setting, within the scope of practice dictated by the State Boards of Nursing. The LPN must be detail-oriented, compassionate, and able to handle physically demanding tasks. The LPN is an essential member of the healthcare team offering patient care and supporting higher level nurses and physicians in delivering comprehensive medical services.

Minimum Education & Certification Requirements:

• LPN Certification/diploma
• VA or multi-state LPN license in good standing
• BLS certification REQUIRED
