Job summary

Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in New York is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse for the Adult Clinic (2nd floor). The position follows a Monday–Friday schedule with alternate Saturdays, from 9am to 5pm, at the Main Campus.

The role requires NY LPN license, BLS, and patient-centered care skills. Responsibilities include obtaining vital signs, assisting with examinations, administering meds, phlebotomy, EMR documentation, and coordinating referrals.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing Program.
• Current New York State LPN License & Registration required.
• Current BLS Certification required.
• One year of outpatient, ambulatory care, primary care, or adult medicine experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and patient-centered care skills.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and patient information.
• Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments as ordered.
• Perform clinical procedures, including specimen collection, EKGs, and phlebotomy.
• Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care.
• Coordinate referrals, diagnostic testing, and follow-up appointments.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and HIPAA standards.
• Support daily clinic operations and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
