Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Days

Join Our Team!

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team on the day shift. This is a great opportunity to work in a supportive healthcare environment where patient care and teamwork are top priorities.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Interview patients to determine medical conditions and document findings in charts for physicians
• Obtain and record vital signs and weight
• Assist physicians during patient examinations
• Review physician orders, lab requests, and follow-up care with patients
• Document services for billing and medical records
• Provide basic patient care including wound dressing, enemas, douches, alcohol rubs, and massages
• Apply compresses, ice packs, and heat treatments
• Monitor patients and report adverse reactions to medications or treatmentsAdminister medications orally, subcutaneously, or intramuscularly and document accordingly
• Assemble and use medical equipment such as catheters, tracheotomy tubes, and oxygen supplies
• Collect patient samples (urine, blood, sputum) and perform routine lab tests

Physical Demands

• Frequent physical activity, including lifting and transferring patients
• Prolonged standing and walking
• Strong communication and listening skills
• Manual dexterity for equipment use and documentation
• Visual acuity for patient assessment and record review

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing
• Experience: 1-2 years of related experience preferred
• License: Active, unencumbered LPN license in the State of Louisiana
