The position serves as a Library Technician in the General & International Collections Directorate for Researcher and Collections Services. Position description number 138328. It is an indefinite appointment not to exceed 4 years. The salary range reflects locality pay adjustments for the Washington, D.C., Metropolitan area. The position offers a flextime work schedule. This is a non-supervisory, bargaining unit position.

Qualifications

Applicants must have progressively responsible experience and training sufficient in scope and quality to perform the duties of the position with minimal supervision. The key qualifications include:

  1. Ability to maintain materials in library collections.
  2. Ability to interact collaboratively with others.
  3. Ability to use an integrated library system (ILS), computerized search tools, databases, and other computer applications.
  4. Ability to support library operations within a section or unit.
  5. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
