This position is located in the Serial and Government Publications Division, General and International Collection Directorate, Researcher and Collections Services.The incumbent serves as a deck attendant in the Serial and Government Publications Division. Incumbent is responsible for the maintenance, services and shelving of collections housed in the Division during hours of public service. This includes retrieving materials for researchers, shelving and maintaining the serial collections of the division, and utilizing the LC ILS and other online systems. Critical to this position is the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy, to produce a large quantity of work, often under sever time constraints, and to interact effective with researchers and other users of the Newspaper and Current Periodical Reading Room.
