US Air Combat Command is seeking a Regular Part-Time Library Technician for Mountain Home AFB Library. The role supports circulation and technical services with a 20-hour minimum weekly schedule and potential to 40 hours.

About the position:

This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Mountain Home AFB Library located in the Gunfighter Service Center Bldg 2610.

This position is Regular Part-Time with guaranteed 20 hours per week, however may work up to 40 hours per week.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:

• Must have specialized experience in a library that provided specific knowledge of library rules, policies, and procedures for circulation and technical service.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Experience or training that demonstrates the ability to perform standard computer skills.
• Knowledge in a library that provides the applicant with general knowledge of standard library rules, policies, and procedures in circulation services.
• Typing experience is required.
• Work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing; recurring activities such as bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, and reaching; pushing loaded book trucks; and recurring lifting of moderately heavy items.
• Physically able to frequently lift boxes of up to 40 pounds.
• Must be able to reach up to 72 inches with or without the assistance of a step stool.
• Possess skill applying standard customer service practices when dealing with the public.
• Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical.
• Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
