Job summary

IVC District No is seeking a Library Technician to support students in locating and using instructional materials in the school library. You will reinforce learning across reading and math, assist with media resources, and help maintain the circulation desk and cataloging tasks.

The role requires good communication, ability to work with individuals and groups, and discretion with student information. A high school diploma or equivalent is expected, with prior experience with children considered

Qualifications

• Assists students in locating reference and instructional materials.
• Maintains circulation desk operations and files.
• Operates audio-visual equipment as needed.
• Constructs, copies, distributes and uses educational materials.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in locating reference and instructional materials for the purpose of facilitating the proper and efficient use of media center books, materials and equipment.
• Assist in reinforcement in reading, language arts, mathematics, computer instruction, media and other skills.
• Assist in maintaining the circulation desk operations and circulation files.
• Work with students individually and in small groups to reinforce basic learning.
• Operate audio visual equipment as needed.
• Assist in cataloging and filing learning materials.
• Construct, copy, distribute and use educational materials.
