Job summary

The City of Peoria is seeking a Library Clerk to assist with shelving, sorting, and filing library materials and to provide front-line customer service in the library. You will help maintain orderly public spaces and support routine library operations in Peoria, AZ.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, basic computer and customer service skills, and a valid AZ driver's license upon hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic knowledge of the library, basic computer and technical skills and basic customer services skills required.
• Valid AZ Driver's License upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Sorts, shelves, and files library materials accurately according to classification systems.
• Reviews shelves for accuracy and re-shelves misplaced items.
• Maintains appearance of work and public areas.
• Performs regular library sweeps and checks the book drop on schedule.
• Assists with opening and closing procedures.
