Job summary

Mercer University is seeking a Public Services Student Assistant in the Tarver Library. The student aids with circulation, directs patrons, and supports floor operations to keep the library organized.

Open only to Mercer students with an active Federal Work-Study award. Pay starts at $10.00 per hour with a $0.25 raise each academic year; scheduled hours are 8, beginning 08/16/2026 and ending 05/08/2027.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Check library materials in and out using the circulation system.
• Assist patrons and direct questions to the proper staff.
• Reshelving, shelf-reading, and helping with printers/copiers as needed.
• Support daily library operations and keep areas orderly.
