Job summary

The Michigan Department of Corrections is seeking a Professional Librarian to complete or oversee a variety of assignments to provide policy required services to library patrons and to develop, implement, improve and maintain a State Agency's Library Program. Supervisor of Library Assistants and Technicians.

This position also coordinates staff supervision of prisoners in the library and supervises the Legal Writer Program at URF.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in library science is required.
• Three years of professional librarian experience, including one year at Librarian P11.
• Experience supervising staff and handling library programs.

Responsibilities

• Complete or oversee assignments to provide policy required library services.
• Develop, implement, improve and maintain the state agency's library program.
• Supervise Library Assistants and Technicians and coordinate prisoner staff supervision.
