Chatham University’s Jennie King Mellon Library seeks a Library Outreach Associate for up to 12 hours weekly at $11.00/hour. The role collaborates with the Head of Library Instruction and Outreach on social media, blog posts, newsletters, displays, exhibits, and event planning.
The successful candidate stays creative, communicates clearly, and stays highly organized, with ability to learn new tools and work independently. This is a student position.
Library Outreach Associate
Location: Jennie King Mellon Library, Shadyside
Hours: Up to 12 hours a week
Pay: $11.00/hour
The JKM Library’s Library Outreach Associate position will collaborate with the Head of Library Instruction and Outreach on a variety of tasks, including the creation of social media content and management of social media channels, writing blog post and various communications such as newsletters, creating library displays and exhibits, assisting with the planning of library events, creating marketing materials (including but not limited to infographics, social media content, signage, brochures, and videos), and some administrative tasks as needed.
All current student employees should notify their other manager(s) if you work multiple jobs on campus at the same time. Additionally, students may not work more than 20 hours per week (combined between all campus jobs) during the academic year. Students may not exceed 980 work hours per calendar year.
Student jobs do not automatically roll over to the next academic year or summer.
