Swipejobs seeks a detail-oriented Library Technician to support daily operations in a large library setting. This full-time, on-site contract is expected to last about one year, with potential extension based on project needs and performance.

Responsibilities include retrieving materials for document delivery, sorting and shelving, processing microforms, and assisting with digitization and archival tasks while following established procedures.

Formación

• Previous library/archives experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow established procedures and systems accurately.
• Comfortable with repetitive tasks and lifting/shelving materials.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn library systems.

Responsabilidades

• Retrieve materials from general, reference, and periodical collections to fulfill document delivery requests.
• Sort and shelve library materials and maintain organization in stacks.
• Locate and retrieve materials for onsite patron requests and update status in the system.
• Process microform materials, including retrieving, printing, and re-filing.
• Discharge materials using the circulation system and assist with digitization efforts.
